- Stop at the Balata church, a miniature replica of the Sacre Coeur basilica in Paris and enjoy the view to the bay of Fort-de-France
– Drive through the lush rainforest, and stop shortly at the pretty Alma-river at the foot of the Carbet-mountains.
– Admire the landscapes from the Pelée-volcano. We drive up the volcano to a parking, from where the hike trail starts. From there a 5 min walk takes us to a viewpoint, from where you’ll be able to see all the north of the island on a clear day
– Tour the renowned Dépaz-distillery with its garden and taste & buy excellent rums
– Visit the Memorial 1902 museum in the old capital Saint-Pierre, learning all about the eruption that destroyed the town in 1902 & the ruins of the theater.
– Drive back to Fort-de-France through the Caribbean coast passing quaint fishing villages like Carbet and Bellefontaine.
